Am gestrigen Sonntag traf Babacan den iranischen Chefunterhändler Saeed Jalili, der auf dem Rückweg von Genf einen Zwischenstopp in Istanbul einlegte.

Einen Tag vor den Gesprächen in Genf unterhielt sich Babacan mit dem iranischen Außenminister Manouchehr Mottaki in Ankara.

Babacan spoke of “a deep confidence gap” between the sides and said Turkey was trying “to rectify any misunderstandings and ensure that they better understand their mutual concerns.”
